Alleged Miley Cyrus Stalker Targets Wrong House

Miley Cyrus caught a lucky break this week when an alleged stalker who was apparently looking for Miley arrived at the wrong home and was subsequently arrested.

According to CBS News, an alleged stalker looking for Miley Cyrus made a wrong move when he arrived at a house that wasn't owned by Miley Cyrus. As a result, the man was promptly arrested.As reported by CBS, a spokesperson for The Los Angeles Police Department explained that 26-year-old Musa Danasabe Ibrahim was apprehended in the yard of a neighbour of Miley Cyrus. "Ibrahim was trying to make entry into Miley Cyrus' house," said the L.A.P.D. official, "but he got the houses mixed up. When we arrived on scene, we found him in her neighbor's yard. He was arrested for trespassing."

Evergreen Park H.S. cracking down on wild hair colors, piercings

Green hair won't be allowed at Evergreen Park High School this year. Neither will most other colors in the rainbow.

"Hair color outside the natural range will be prohibited," Principal Bill Sanderson said.

"This is something we're going to implement slowly and not hammer on Day 1."

Students will be allowed to dye their hair a natural color, but unnatural colored streaks or highlights also will not be allowed, Sanderson said.

"What we don't want are the pinks and greens and blues," he said.

There are two reasons for the decision, Sanderson said.

First, he said, unnatural hair colors are a disruption to the education process. Second, the school wants to prepare students for professional life after high school.

"We're here to learn. We're trying to get kids ready for the real world," he said.

Students were instrumental in seeking the change, Sanderson said.

Two students sat on the committee that reviewed changes to the 2009-10 student handbook. Administrators, teachers and members of the community also sat on the committee.

"This did come from the students," Sanderson said. "They felt it was a disruption."

Exceptions to the policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis, Sanderson said.

For example, members of sports team might be allowed to temporarily dye their hair as a show of unity. Additionally, students might be allowed to highlight a portion of their hair pink in support of a cure for breast cancer, Sanderson said.

The school also plans to strictly enforce an existing policy that prohibits body piercings other than in the ear.

Sanderson said an increase in piercings was evident last year after spring break.

"We saw a rash of new piercings. That's when kids tend to get things done," he said.

A whopping 70% of women dye their hair at some point during their lives. Some don’t like the color that Mother Nature gave them and want to experiment with something different. Some want to add highlights or lowlights to give their hair more depth. Others feel the need to cover up the gray. Whatever the reason, women are not likely to give up their hair dye anytime in the near future. While many know exactly what they want from their hair color, some do not. They just know that they want a change. For that reason, they often have a difficult time settling on the "type" and "color" of hair dye to use.

One important thing women must consider when choosing a hair color is what they want to see once the job is done. Do they want to merely cover the gray, while keeping their natural color in tact? Do they want to darken or lighten their hair? Do they want something permanent or something that can be washed away if they don’t like the end result? The answers to these questions and others will help a woman determine what type of hair dye to use: permanent, semi-permanent, temporary, gradual cover, high lights or low lights.

Permanent hair coloring is perfect for women who want to alter their hair color as the term implies - - permanently. It is generally the best option for those who want to go more than three shades lighter than their natural color.

This method involves bleaching the hair cuticle to remove all color and then replacing it with a new, artificial shade. This method is rarely done at home because it takes the skilled hands of a professional colorist to do the job correctly. Because bleach can be overtly harsh, women with already dry and damaged hair should consider something other than this dye method.

The hair’s natural color will grow back in at about ½" to 1" per month. That means, in order to maintain the new shade, the roots of the hair will have to be bleached regularly. Another word of caution should also be made here. Exposure to other chemicals, like chlorine, or even the harsh rays of the sun could change the new color as well as further damage already fragile hair. For that reason, women must protect their new color as much as possible.

Semi-permanent hair color is the choice of the majority of women who color their hair. This type of color allows the woman to go either lighter or darker as desired without having to live with the results for a long period of time. Similar to permanent dyes, semi-permanent ones work their way into the hair shaft to alter the color of its outer layer. Because it doesn’t penetrate into the cuticle as deeply as bleach, this type of color change generally washes out within 15 to 20 shampoos.

Those who choose a shade more than three shades lighter than their natural hair color still risk damaging the hair. For that reason, it is best to remain within one or two shades of the natural color. Those going darker than their natural color; however, can usually go up to three or four shades darker. Anything beyond that continues to risk hair damage.

Temporary dyes merely coat the surface of the hair with the new color. They do not penetrate into the hair shaft to alter the color from the inside out. Therefore, they wash out within one to three shampoos, depending on the type of dye chosen. This type of hair color is most popular with the younger set who like changing their hair color regularly to suit a mood, what they are wearing, or an event they are attending. Most temporary dyes are relatively safe; however, people with hair that is already damaged should avoid making too many dye changes within a short period of time.

Gradual dyes are more popular with men than women, although more women are jumping aboard this bandwagon each year. Those who want to cover up their gray without changing their natural hair color generally use this type of dye. Although, like permanent and semi-permanent color, gradual dyes penetrate the hair cuticle, it is not to add an artificial color. Instead, the dye is made to react with the hair’s natural protein to begin restoring its natural color. Such dyes usually take more than one application before the hair’s natural color is restored.

Highlights and lowlights only change a small portion of the hair by taking it lighter or darker to add more depth of color. Highlights are meant to mimic the sun-streaked look of women who regularly sit in the sun. They, like permanent hair colors, penetrate the hair shaft to strip all or part of the natural color away. The color of highlighting dye chosen as well as the amount of time the dye is left on the hair helps determine how much of the color might be removed. The bleaching action of the process can, of course, result in hair damage, particularly for those who attempt to go more than one or two shades lighter than their natural color. For that reason, women with hair that has been dyed by another method, permed, or otherwise chemically treated should avoid this process without the help of a skilled beautician. Even then, it may not be recommended.

Highlighting by the foil method as well as lowlights should only be done in the beauty shop since both methods require proper shade selection and application along with exact timing.

While it is true with a change of makeup and today’s natural tanning products, that a lot of women can successfully pull off any hair color they want, that is the exception rather than the rule. Instead, most women should really consider which shade of hair color would look best on them. As a rule of thumb, women with pale cool pink or blue undertones in their skin should stick with lighter shades. For example, golden blondes in this group could probably go platinum blond. Even a light, ashy blond/brown could look spectacular. But dark colors will only wash them out and shades of red will scream "dye job!" On the other hand, women with peach undertones in their skin will look best in lighter golden colors such as wheat or golden blond or maybe even strawberry blonde. Those with more of a golden or olive undertone; however, can dare to go a bit darker into beautiful honey blondes, bright reds, medium to dark browns, or rich auburns. Some could even venture into shades of black.

This is merely a quick, down and dirty, explanation of how to decide on a hair color. For the best results, it is always best to seek out the services of an expert colorist. They are trained to help women find their "inner" color without causing permanent damage to the hair. Since hair is a woman’s crowning glory, it only makes sense to leave it in the hands of such professionals.

Miley Cyrus goes dark once again. The Hannah Montana star showed off her new hair color via her Twitter. She also helped sister Noah and brother Braison color their hair.

"Tonight I've colored my hair, Braisons hair and Noah got jealous so now I am coloring hers =] I think I've found my new profession," Cyrus writes.

The teen superstar, who's filming the movie The Last Song in Tybee Island, Georgia, wrote about missing a certain "someone" back home.

"Dear Hollywood, as much as I usually hate everything about your smoggy city, I miss it. But then again maybe its not you... its him." she says.
